Simply, a Better Life

Life is what we make it, in other words, the path we travel is shaped by our own hands, whether consciously or subconsciously. It simply boils down to this; in order to live a better life, we need a game plan.

Luckily, your journey does not have to be a lonely one, in fact, I would like to offer some direction that you may find useful. You can even begin to apply these into your life starting today.

Have a Purpose

Thankfully we all have different preferences in life. That means you may enjoy something more than I do, and (most of the time) by default making you more knowledgeable in that subject.

So, what do you do with that?

You become an expert.

Become so good that others begin to seek you out. See yourself as the Bill Gates of your industry, or the LeBron James of your game. When someone comes looking, they’ll be looking for you.

Your daily life becomes more enjoyable because you’re doing what you want to do, you’re just doing it better than most.

Use Your Unique Personality

Use Your Unique Personality

Now ask yourself, which areas can you improve or innovate. Let’s keep it simple, over-complicating only leads to… complications.

The greatest musicians from Michael Jackson to Beethoven we’re innovators of a formula that was already being put to use by others before them and well after. They took something that already existed and improved on it with their own unique touch.

It’s as if someone set out a blueprint and laid it right on our lap. All it takes is time, effort and creativity to build something of our own.

Take what’s been given and move forward.

Allow Yourself Time to Grow

Don’t be the guy or gal that thinks there just isn’t enough time. That’s bullshit. People like to say life is short, I disagree.

I think life is long, filled with lot’s of ups and downs, wrongs, and rights. It would be foolish to not allow yourself some time to recover and regain your balance.

Doing this allows you to view your project or your goal in a different perspective. Give your mind time to marinate. Try going for a walk, talk to a friend (or a stranger), or boil an egg or two. You get the point.

There’s a time to eat and then there’s a time to sleep.

Surround Yourself With Better People

Friendship
You’ll want to surround yourself with people who are headed in a direction that’ll compliment your own journey.

Someone once said –

“Show me who you hang around and I’ll tell you who you are.”

Who you hang around with may influence you more than you think. It can either work to your benefit or work against you.

By now you know well enough that people come and go (as well as opportunities), you either let chance bring them to you, or you venture outward and search. By taking a more active approach you begin to shape a path better suited for your journey, along with the right company.

At the end of the day, life is long, regardless of what others say. Our live’s are filled with bumpy roads and smooth runways. But one with a purpose, personality, an understanding of time and good company is simply, a better life worth living.
